What past attendees have to say.
When Whitney showed us the sneak peek of the Cultivate trip at Cultivating Courage, I knew I would do everything possible to make that trip happen. The cost, the time off work, figuring out travel for me, and finding someone to help shuffle children were all on my mind, but I had a taste of the feelings CC brought me, and I wanted more. To know I would have a more intimate opportunity to speak with mentors, make solid friendships, worship the lord, dive deeper into my faith, be surrounded by like-minded women, and relax.
Of course, the devil did his work, and we all admitted to almost not showing up when the date approached for different reasons: kids, husbands, farms, etc. But I am so glad I did not let those things get in the way.
We hung out in pajamas, relaxed in the hot tub, had massages, went on adventures, worked through feelings and life stressors, sang worship songs, ate great food, shared our stories, and grew closer to each other and Jesus. Cultivate was relaxing, life-changing, and 100% worth the time I carved out for myself. Like most opportunities in life, “you get out of it what you put into it.” I was honored to be a part of it for 23 and am deeply saddened I will miss it for 24. If you’re on the fence about it, commit to yourself. You will not regret it!

I knew I was drowning. It wasn't easy to admit and it sure as heck wasn't where I thought I'd be at the beginning of 2023. My dad had just been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer; my daughter, albeit healthy and thriving, had spent an unexpected two and a half weeks in the NICU and I was so angry at God about all of it. When Whitney told me she was hosting a women's retreat in Colorado for spiritual formation and the opportunity to reset, I knew I was in.
Not only did my time at Cultivate give me the reset I knew I needed, it also gave me the opportunity to meet amazing friends, eat delicious food and have that hard conversation with God I knew I needed to have but had been putting off. You could literally feel the presence of Jesus Christ in that house and I am forever grateful to Whitney for hosting an event that allowed me to find some answers I so longed for. I met lifelong friends, have amazing memories and truly cannot thank God enough for my experience at Cultivate.

What past attendees have to say.
To be honest, attending an all female retreat felt really out of my comfort zone. Deep down though, I felt the tug to go. I had been wrestling with some things and the timing of this trip sounded really appealing and gave me a chance to work on me and my relationship with Christ. As soon as I landed, there were women ready to greet me, open up to me, and make me feel included. This was a breath of fresh air.
The way Whitney has the trip planned I had time to connect with the group but also had time for myself, which was super important to me. Some of the people I met there changed my perspective, challenged my mindset, and ultimately strengthened my relationship with Jesus. I’m so so thankful for the opportunity to have gone and be with this amazing group of women. I’m also so proud of Whitney for leaning into the gifts God has blessed her with to help others take a step closer to Christ. It was truly a unique and valuable experience for me. 10/10 recommend going.

My hope for this retreat is to bring women closer in their faith journey to god. To challenge them to mend relationships, focus on the hope, grace and goodness god offers us and to build a strong foundation to move forward in this blessing we get to call life.
