FARM FAMILIES
Farm families dedicate their entire lives to produce the most wholesome, safest crops: to feed livestock for meat production & to feed American families.
“Good farmers, who take seriously their duties as stewards of Creation and of their land’s inheritors, contribute to the welfare of society in more ways than society usually acknowledges, or even knows. These farmers produce valuable goods, of course; but they also conserve soil, they conserve water, they conserve wildlife, they conserve open space, they conserve scenery.”–W BERRY
In years past people had a connection to their food and how it was grown. That has vastly changed with farm sizes growing, documentaries, media, marketing, labels and celebrities pushing the harm coming from farms and ranches. People tend to forget all the good that is actually happening in the Ag world and how many families it supports!
On just our operation alone- we are supporting not only our family of 5 but 2 other families (11 people) by hiring them as our employees.
Agriculture and its related industries provide 10.9 percent of U.S. employment. In 2019, 22.2 million full- and part-time jobs were related to the agricultural and food sectors—10.9 percent of total U.S. employment (USDA statistics).
Let’s start working together to see all the ACTUAL good that comes from raising and growing food. And don’t bite the hand that feeds you by spreading that misinformation from folks that aren’t out in the fields doing the work
Start the conversation and ask the questions where and how your food is grown! We’d love nothing more than to share our families story with you, after all 98% of all farms are family owned just like ours!
Did you know one US farm now feeds 166 people a year? It is estimated that the US will increase population by 2.2 billion people in 2050, which means the worlds farmers will have to grow 70% more food than what is now produced. We have to continue to share our story and get people back to the roots of where their food comes from and show the good we are doing as stewards to continue to keep up with the demand of our growing country.
